Pink YarrowThe paler pink of the season, affectionately named Pale Dogwood by Pantone, is more neutral, leaning toward beige, and easy to mix and match with other colors. It less "pink" than the 2016 Rose Quartz variation. This is a flattering color for many skin tones, as it has both red and yellow undertones and an earthy quality. The second pink is a bright and bold fuschia, named Pink Yarrow, with a festive tropical feel. This is a color that may or may not work with your skin tone, but you can pull anything off if it is not next to your face, or if you use it in small amounts. This bolder color is harder to mix into ones' wardrobe, and so it caught my attention. The EcoPetites line has two items tending towards the brighter pink, which I am calling Raspberry. Click here for the grace skirt skirt, available in sizes XSP to XLP and here for the belt. It is an earthier, toned down version of the clearer and brighter fuchsia. So I started doing research on creating an outfit within a certain color scheme, ready for 2017. The color scheme that I was drawn to uses Raspberry and Taupe (or Hazelnut, as we might call it this year) with Navy as a neutral. For the latter part of winter, you can pair the Raspberry Grace skirt with a Taupe sweater, like the one above by Eileen Fisher in a gorgeous knit made from Tencel, which is top notch in terms of sustainability. It also comes in petite sizes. A Navy scarf (Ash & Rose), navy tights and booties complete the outfit. Check out those awesome, and sustainable earrings. Aren't they perfect? And they come in other great colors. Once the weather warms up, the two blouses are my favorite picks, both from Anthropologie. The dolman top comes in petite, the embroidered blouse does not.
